Treatments typically last about 30 minutes and are virtually pain-free but patients have the option to get topical anesthetic for numbing prior to the treatment. After Coolpeel, there is little to no downtime. On the day of the treatment, skin is slightly red and may have some mild swelling. Days 3-4 the skin may have some dots that are barely noticeable and easily covered with make-up, Days 5-6 the skin may peel slightly and texture may feel rough (again barely noticeable and can be easily covered by make-up).
Results from the treatment can be seen within a few days and improvement will continue for up to 6 months. For optimal results, a series of 3 treatments is recommended spaced 30 days apart and can be paired with the Virtue RF treatments.
